Super Visa Travel Insurance
The Canadian Government has introduced the "Parent and Grandparent Super Visa" a new type of temporary resident visa for up to ten years. The "Super Visa" is a multi-entry visa which allows "visitors" to remain in Canada for up to two years at a time without the need to renew. Applicants are required to obtain private Canadian health insurance during their stay.
Applicants must submit proof that private medical insurance is in place from a Canadian Insurance company which:
A) Covers health care, hospitalization and repatriation.
B) Provides minimum $100,000 coverage.
C) Valid for each entry to Canada and available for review by a port entry office.
This private health insurance coverage must be purchased in advance of applying for the visa and the premiums can be refunded if the applicant is declined for the visa.
